Via; Leviticus 26:5 says “Your threshing shall last till the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last till the time of sowing; you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.” We know that the firstfruits offering of wheat happens during the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot), and yet the full harvest comes in after that up to the time of the firstfruits of the grape harvest (The Feast of New Wine). It’s at this time of summer that we see grain (bread) and wine come together. During the last supper, “Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.” Matthew 26:26-29.
