Via; A recent string of robberies in New York's famous central park have captured the attention of the entire city. While crime in central park had been trending upwards since this spring, these recent robberies were committed by individuals who live in NYC shelters for asylum seekers. To date, robberies in central park are 200% higher than they were last year, and although some blame the asylum crisis for the increase, others say the majority of asylum seekers do not commit robberies and that NY's lax justice system is the real culprit.
