It is reputed that Gen.US Grant was a Trick Rider, unparalleled. The Story goes that during the Spanish-American War, a young Grant had to Ride out, delivering Ammunition to seriously pinned down Men. It was so dangerous that they sent him, and because he was the only one who could Ride his Horse completely to one side, he made it to the Men unscathed. In other words, a young Grant was able to obfuscate himself so that all you saw was a Horse galloping past!
It was well known that UH Grant was extremely talented astride a Horse. Yes, you read that right; U.H. Grant was in all actuality his name, but, there'd been, (I almost wrote "typo") a mistake on the Paperwork he had to Present upon arrival to his Appointment at West Point. And, the Charge Officer was in no mood to be challenged and told Grant, basically to live with it!
What an amazing and counter-balanced persona this future President was! He was a Man, notably humble and a brilliant Tactician!
